  • Motion to approve last week’s minutes made by Sarah Russell, seconded by Anne Traicoff, and approved with no objections and one abstention by Wanda Brann.

    No Teacher Report Items

Your children should have told you about the Soles for Souls shoe and sock drive. Bring in new socks and either new or used shoes to help the less fortunate.

The science fair and talent show are coming up, so look for upcoming information.

The ice skating event was very well received and a big thanks goes out to Brandy C. Merritt and Maisha Ostergren for their organizing efforts. The activities room was a welcome addition, and there were a few bussing issues that were worked through.

Disability Awareness Workshop will need another parent to assist Sarah Russell, hopefully a 4th Grade parent. The date is March 24th and it will take the first half of the day.

Parents are interested in starting an origami club and asked about the process. Anyone interested in starting a new club should talk to Ms. York, identify the target group, arrange for space and a flyer, and finally arrange for enough parent volunteers,

The Thurston Chess tournament will be 8:30 on March 4th and will run all day.   Look for registration information in the newsletter and flyers.

There will be a movie night sometime in March with proceeds to go toward a snow cone machine. Look for information coming soon.
