Mrs. Kristi Bishop
Kristi Bishop has been an elementary vocal and instrumental music teacher in the Ann Arbor Public Schools since 1994. She is currently in her seventeenth year teaching at Bach School.
Mrs. Bishop received her Masters in Music degree in 2000 from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) where she was also graduate teaching and research assistant for Richard Colwell and Carol Richardson with the book project The New Handbook of Research on Music Teaching and Learning. She earned her Bachelor’s of Music Education Degree from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. (Go Shockers!)
Currently Mrs. Bishop is working on two large scale projects: A Musical for Young People: "She Persisted" and a series of original scenes and songs for the One Love Youth Ensemble.
Mrs. Bishop lives in the Ypsilanti with her husband and daughter. She has one son in college (Go Blue!) She loves to perform in Music Theater and will do so again when her home nest is empty.
