Hello Families,

I am very excited to welcome you and your child back to school for the 2022-2023! I hope you all have had an outstanding summer. As many of you know, my name is Hailey Baker and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I am one of two Self-Contained Teachers here at Logan. This will be my 6th year teaching. I am looking forward to working with you and your child, as well as getting to know their needs and strengths. I have experience with differentiating instruction, multi-sensory lessons, and assistive technology.

For our new families, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI and attended Ann Arbor Public Schools; Pioneer, Slauson, and Lawton. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education with a cognitive impairment endorsement, and an elementary endorsement. I have known since I was in elementary school that I wanted to be a teacher. In my free time I love to be outside. Photography is a new hobby that I have enjoyed learning. Ever since I was a child dance has been a passion of mine. I have learned various styles of dance through participating on different teams. Other activities I enjoy are: biking, hiking, waterskiing, knee-boarding, snow-skiing, cooking, traveling, crocheting, crafts, attending concerts and plays, plus spending time with friends and family. I have always been an active and energetic person and I am excited to bring that into the classroom. 

It is important for me to get to know your child as an individual and what makes them who they are. Everyone has his or her own beliefs, ideas and feelings that should be valued and respected. I am looking forward to collaborating with you and getting to know your child. Please fill out the parent questionnaire that was sent to your email.
