Superintendent Search Candidates

  • The Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education announces six candidates will participate in first-round interviews. 

     

    The candidates are:



    1. Thomas Ahart, Ed.D.- Superintendent, Des Moines Public Schools (former) (IA)
    2. William Bradford, Ed.D. - Chief of Schools, Fayette County Public Schools (KY)
    3. Arcelius Brickhouse - Chief of Schools, East Baton Rouge Parish School System (former) (LA)
    4. Matthew Dunbar - Assistant Superintendent for Administration and Personnel, Glastonbury Public Schools (CT)
    5. Jazz Parks - Interim Superintendent, Ann Arbor Public Schools (MI)
    6. Antoine Reed, Ed.D. - Deputy Chief of Equity, Rockford Public Schools (IL)

    Board of Education President Torchio Feaster says an impressive field of candidates applied to become the next AAPS Superintendent. "The Board of Trustees is truly thankful to all of the amazing candidates who applied,” Feaster says. “The talent and experience within this group of candidates made narrowing the pool extremely difficult. With that said, we believe we have identified a tremendous slate of finalists and look forward to meeting with each of them to find the best fit for our district."
