All teams pay both the entry/sponsor fee AND the team fee, regardless of whether or not the team is sponsored. The non-resident fee applies to all players and substitutes who reside outside the boundaries of the Ann Arbor Public School District.CoRec Reverse Competitive Quads is for experienced players (2 guys & 2 gals). Rules are the "reverse" of normal Corec competitive play: Only female players may block or hit in front of the attack line. Games to 21 points, round robin, "call-your-own" format.**Corec Sunday Quads is a 'call your own' recreational league for Open, Advanced or Intermediate players that features a round-robin style of play during the weekly two-hour sessions. Note: Sunday Quads league does not have any byes this year - max of 6 teams.NIGHTS OF PLAY
The season starts Thursday, Sept 12, 2024. All 6-player teams (except instructional) play 10 matches. Corec Sunday Quads and Reverse Quads also play 10 weeks. Corec Instructional plays 7 weeks and starts October 17, 2024.REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
Registration will take place ONLINE on the dates below. NOTE: As leagues fill, they are CLOSED, regardless of date.If you are unsure which league your returning team should sign up for, check out the Classifications for Fall 2024.League Pre-Registration (returning teams only) Open Registration All Leagues Monday, July 15, 2024 July 16-29, 2024 All team registrations are due by 4:30 PM on Monday, July 29th, 2024. Teams submitting registrations after this date may be added until Aug 1 IF there is an opening in their league. All registration is on a first-come, first-served, space-available basis.Pre-registration is open to all returning Rec & Ed volleyball teams that played in a league during the past 12 months. A team must meet one of the following criteria in order to be considered a returning team:(2) Have a returning captain(3) Have four returning players (2 for Quad leagues)Open registration is for all new teams or returning teams that did not participate in the league during the previous year.Team rosters and rules are available on the forms & rules section of this website. All captain's forms are also available online.
Sponsor fees are due at the time of registration. NOTE: once a league is full, it may be closed, regardless of date or deadlines. If a league you want is showing "full", contact the league director (brinsone@a2schools.org) to get on the wait list. Sometimes things change.The deadline for registered teams to turn in rosters and fees is Thursday, August 29 2024. Anything turned in after this date will be charged a $2 per player "late add" fee.ROSTERS AND TEAM FEES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE DEADLINE VIA EMAIL to the league director (brinsone@a2schools.org).ROSTERS AND MONEY CAN NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE GYMS.
Rec & Ed accepts credit cards (Visa, American Express, and Mastercard only), certified, corporate checks, or a single check from the team sponsor, captain, or a designated team member for sponsor and team fees. Corporate credit cards are accepted only with prior approval from the Finance Department. No personal checks will be accepted for partial payments, late or non-resident fees. All checks are payable to Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS). Since the office is remote, contact the league director about how to submit a check.Players may register for Monday Corec Instructional INDIVIDUALLY, without having a team. Players may sign up to be on the same team as a friend. See description directly below. Corec Instructional is geared for beginner to intermediate players.Players with more advanced skills or who are not free on Mondays may contact the league director at brinsone@aaps.k12.mi.us for help connecting with a team that may need an additional player or sub.SPECIALITY LEAGUES this FALL

Monday night games to 21 points, round robin, "call-your-own" format.COREC INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUE The instructional league is a Corec League that combines coaching / instruction along with game play. Each week includes playing 3 shortened games with the remainder of the hour spent on drills to improve skills. An excellent introduction to volleyball leagues for those with limited volleyball experience. Individuals without their own team will be formed into teams for this league. Monday nights for 7-8 weeks. Coach / Official is Mark Comstock.
