Mrs. Fan Wu
Mrs. Wu is a Chinese native speaker who has lived in Ann Arbor since 2000. She finished the Chinese Teacher Certification Program at Michigan State University in 2009 and continued to take the masters courses at Michigan State University. Mrs. Wu received a Master of Arts in Teaching and Curriculum in 2012.
Mrs. Wu has been teaching Chinese for the Ann Arbor Public School District since 2010. Currently, she is teaching IB (MYP, DP) and AP Mandarin Chinese at Huron High School. To prepare her students to become tomorrow’s global leaders, Mrs. Wu not only shares knowledge about Chinese language, but also fully engages her students to further understand the five thousand years of history, philosophy and culture behind the language. That makes Mrs. Wu’s teaching more meaningful and interesting to her students in order to highlight the many nuances of China and the Chinese language.
In her free time, Mrs. Wu loves to travel with her family, garden, and listen to mediations.
